Rachael qualified from Leeds Dental School in 2003. During her time at Leeds she won prizes for Child Dental Health, Restorative Dentistry and Research. She was awarded the accolade of ‘The Most Distinguished Student’ of her qualifying year and represented Leeds Dental School nationally at the Student Clinical Research Awards.
After graduating Rachael spent time in general practice before starting the route to specialisation. Her training took her back to Leeds again as a Maxillofacial Surgery Senior House Officer, then to Sheffield where she worked in the Children’s and Restorative departments. During this time she took her Membership exams at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and had several articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
She carried out her post-graduate specialisation in orthodontics at Liverpool Dental Hospital between 2006 and 2009. During this time Rachael also carried out a Masters in Dental Science at the University of Liverpool, looking at ways of preventing marks on the teeth (enamel demineralisation) during brace treatment.
Rachael works at the Trinity House Orthodontics practice in Barnsley. Here she enjoys carrying out a variety of specialist orthodontic treatments for both children and adults, offering both NHS and private options. She has a particular interest in working with nervous patients and helping them achieve a smile they are proud to show off. Rachael can offer treatment with fixed and removable appliances, and aesthetic and invisible braces including Invisalign, meaning there really is a treatment option to suit everyone!Rachael is a keen member of the Local Dental Committee and enjoys working closely with her colleagues in the local hospital orthodontic departments on more complex or multidisciplinary cases.
In her spare time Rachael enjoys anything arty and can often be found at the sewing machine! She enjoys cooking, travel and time with her family.

Michelle is responsible for working to the prescription of the orthodontist and dentists, carrying out orthodontic treatments from the initial record taking to the fitting, adjusting and removal of orthodontic appliances. She is also available to give oral hygiene advice and smoking cessation as well as answering questions about treatment and reassuring patients. Her previous training allows her to provide scaling and polishing and the collection of records in relation to a patient’s oral health.Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading, travel and socialising with friends as well as spending time with her family.

Lauren is responsible for answering the telephone, welcoming patients and making appointments. Outside of work she enjoys fishing, shopping, socialising and swimming.
Janie is responsible for assisting the clinicians in providing orthodontic treatments. She provides patients with oral hygiene advice, taking radiographs, dental impressions and clinical photographs. She also offers smoking cessation advice and general reassurance regarding patients’ treatments. Outside of work, Janie enjoys cycling, going to the gym and socialising with friends.
