What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a clear removable system that straightens your teeth using a series of virtually invisible, clear plastic aligners. These clear aligners replace metal bands and wires meaning that no one will know you are wearing braces, unless you tell them!
How does Invisalign work?
At your consultation, we will take a series of photographs and moulds of your teeth. These are sent to Invisalign® to create a virtual 3D treatment plan (ClinCheck®) detailing exactly how your teeth will move. From this, your sets of aligners are made.

Your custom made aligners are then sent to your orthodontist who will instruct you to wear each aligner for up to two weeks before replacing it with the next. This continues until the end of your treatment with periodic visits to the orthodontist in order to check your treatment progress.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Your orthodontist can use Invisalign® to treat a range of common orthodontic problems in adults and children, such as crowded or widely spaced teeth. Even some more complex cases can be treated including overbites, overjets, underbites and even crossbites. Your orthodontist can use Invisalign® for all or part of most treatment plans. A consultation will determine the best course of treatment for you.
What’s more, not only are Invisalign® aligners clear, comfortable and effective they are removable too so you can brush, floss and eat as usual. And, because you can remove your aligners to eat and drink you can eat all your favourite foods. After each meal you must brush your teeth prior to re-inserting your aligners to maintain good hygiene.
