The length of treatment depends on the complexity of your orthodontic problem. The average treatment time is 27 months, but complex issues can take longer. However, if you follow Dr Schuth’s instructions and take care of your braces, your alignment will improve.

No, braces shouldn’t hurt you. You can expect to feel some mild soreness and discomfort for two to three days after every adjustment —but nothing an over-the-counter pain reliever can’t fix.

Yes, it’s a must! You need retainers to maintain and stabilise the alignment of your teeth after treatment. If you don’t wear retainers as instructed, your teeth will likely move or relapse.
